Bill Romanelli, senior director in APCO Worldwide’s Sacramento office, provides clients with expertise in strategic communication, media relations, coalition development and grassroots advocacy.
Since joining APCO in 1996, Mr. Romanelli has managed numerous local, statewide and national public affairs programs for clients on a wide range of issues, including technology, civil justice reform, environmental investigation and cleanup, energy, telecommunications and natural resource conservation. He specializes in media and message training, campaign planning and management, ally development, and press relations, serving as an on-the-record and on-air spokesperson as needed.
In 2004, Mr. Romanelli was recognized as the Public Relations Professional of the Year by the Sacramento Public Relations Association (SPRA). He served as SPRA president from 2000-2001 and is a graduate of the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Sacramento Class of 2006.
Mr. Romanelli is also a frequent contributor to regional and statewide magazines on business issues, the arts, travel and tourism, and the outdoors.
Mr. Romanelli graduated with honors from California State University, Sacramento, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies.
