Washington, D.C. (July 29, 2008) – Lars Göran Johansson, senior vice president of the Electrolux Group, joined APCO Worldwide’s International Advisory Council (IAC), President and CEO Margery Kraus announced today. Johansson oversees and coordinates all worldwide, internal and external communication activities for the Electrolux Group.

“We are fortunate to have Lars as part of APCO’s IAC to provide our clients with top-tier communication strategies,” said Kraus. “His knowledge of consumer needs and behavior is expansive and will be invaluable to our clients globally.”

Johansson’s role at the Electrolux Group encompasses investor relations, public affairs, Internet communication and environmental affairs. Prior to joining Electrolux in 1995, Johansson was president of the “Yes to Europe Foundation” campaign, which promoted Sweden’s accession to the European Union. Johansson also held a succession of positions, including president, at the KREAB agency, Sweden’s largest communication consultancy.

“I am pleased to be a part of the esteemed group of experts and newsmakers from many sectors on APCO’s IAC,” said Johansson. “I look forward to working with a truly global team devoted to facilitating communication among various stakeholders.”

Johansson joins a distinguished group of expert advisors in the IAC, including: former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski; Pat Cox, former president of the European Parliament, current president of the International European Movement and managing partner of European Integration Solutions; Kirk Stewart, former global vice president of corporate communications for Nike, Inc; and Roger Bolton, former senior vice president of communications for the health care benefits provider Aetna.
